Yelka holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and Master of Professional Psychology from Macquarie University. She is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and an Eating Disorder Credentialied Clinician with the Australian & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED).

Yelka has experience working therapeutically with various presentations including Eating Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety and Mood Disorders, First-Episode Psychosis, Trauma and PTSD. She has previously worked in Community Mental Health and the Public hospital system, the private hospital system, in NGOs, as well as in organisational Employee Assistance Programs.

She utilises a range of therapeutic models including traditional Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and CBT-Enhanced for Eating Disorders, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Yelka aims to provide a genuine therapeutic connection and trauma-informed treatment for a variety of adult mental health experiences.

Yelka currently sees clients via Telehealth.
