
Teresa Mars
Counsellor
Teresa is an accredited Counsellor, registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) as a clinical member. She also holds a Bachelor of English Literature, a Graduate Diploma of Bi-lingual secretarial studies and a Graduate Diploma of Education. Teresa has worked in public relations, academic publishing, corporate communications and educational administration in England, France and Australia during a 35-year career span. Throughout her career Teresa has maintained an interest in human behaviour and undertaken studies in psychology, observing the benefits that counselling can offer.
Teresa has a rich life experience and has now turned her interests to counselling and psychopathology, working with clients across the lifespan and facilitating group therapy programs such as Circle of Security and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Teresa is interested in supporting clients with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction and disordered eating behaviours. She enjoys working with clients of all ages with relationship concerns, postnatal depression, and parenting problems.
Teresa is warm and genuine employing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), DBT, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy in her work with clients; and consults from our Moorebank rooms.
