Steve Chou Lee
Steve is a warm and friendly registered psychologist who adopts a collaborative and strength-based approach when working with clients. He prioritizes people’s autonomy by taking a client-led approach that caters to their specific needs. He values creating a safe space, employing empathy and validation, meeting the client where they are in their journey with acceptance and compassion.
He has experience working with a range of presentations, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, personality disorders, and relationship issues. He has practiced using a range of different modalities and utilizing skills and models from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaiour therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Gottman Relationship Therapy. He also employs skills and models from Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, and Attachment theory in his practice.
Steve is a psychologist who is always willing to explore current life problems with clients and build the requisite understanding and skills to effectively manage the issue at hand.
