Sanober holds a Bachelor in Psychology, a Masters in Psychology and an M Phil in Psychology. She is registered with AHPRA, is a member of Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is a registered Medicare Australia provider.
Sanober has worked in a variety of settings including military, government, university, community, occupational rehabilitation and disability for more than 15 years. Sanober is skilled in delivering interventions for a range of different mental health problems. She has a holistic approach and prefers to adapt client centred approach in which therapy is based on individual needs. She is experienced in clients with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and can speak Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi, other than English.
With a sound understanding of therapeutic alliance, empathy and unconditional positive regard, Sanober provides a safe space for her clients. She utilizes a range of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Her goal is to empower clients with strategies to help deal with issues, increase self-awareness and promote personal growth.
Sanober has experience in working with children with developmental needs. She facilitates families to deal with behavioural, emotional and cognitive issues, parent education and counselling.
Sanober is also experienced in providing compassionate and relevant support to veterans and their families impacted by military service. She helps them in their recovery towards their personal and vocational goals.
As a Workcover/CTP provider, Sanober has proficiency in assessment and treatment of psychological injuries at work and assist workers compensation clients in making a speedy recovery and return to work. Sanober consults from our Campbelltown rooms.
