Bec is a Registered Psychologist holding a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Wollongong, and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced from Monash University. She is registered with AHPRA and a Medicare Provider.
Bec has several years of experience working with young people and their families, supporting people with a range of presentations including depression, anxiety disorders, complex trauma and PTSD, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, disordered eating, self-harm, and suicidality. She provides a casual, comfortable, and non-judgemental space for her clients, with a focus on rapport building and engagement. Bec has a passion for supporting young people who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, is an advocate for social justice, and works from a trauma-informed and intersectional perspective.
Bec is skilled in a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and the Three-Phased Approach Trauma Therapy. She draws from this range of modalities to create an individualised and client-centred treatment plan, focusing on personal life goals and adapting modalities to suit each individual. Bec works across all three locations, and also provides after-hours consultation.
