Norma Kayrouz


Norma is a Trauma Counsellor who holds a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours and a Diploma in Gestalt Therapy. Norma is a NSW Victims Services registered counsellor/social worker and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Norma is also a yoga teacher specialising in yoga for trauma and mental health.

Norma has worked across a range of settings including the private sector, government and non-government agencies, NSW Victims Services, hospital and the community.

Norma has 30 years’ experience working therapeutically with highly disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals, families and communities in the context of trauma and abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, mental health, disability, grief and loss and victims of crime

Norma believes that if you are reading this then you have already begun the process of healing in your life. Norma is dedicated to working with clients therapeutically to support and foster safety, connection and wellbeing, recognising that each individual has their own unique path to recovery and healing.

Norma uses a range of therapeutic tools and theoretical frameworks and these may include gestalt therapy, family systems theory, polyvagal theory, neurobiology of the brain, somatic and sensorimotor therapies, trauma specific yoga, Mindfulness, grief and loss as well as breath work. Norma can tailor therapeutic case plans to meet the specific strengths and needs of clients. Norma consults from our Campbelltown and Moorebank rooms.
