Michael holds a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters in Social Health and Counselling and has been working in the mental health field for the last decade. He has worked in residential rehabilitation, not-for-profit NGOs, services supporting Youth At Risk and private practice. He has worked extensively in the drug and alcohol fields as well as with adolescents with complex mental health needs. He has experience with most mood and anxiety concerns as well as panic, bipolar, ADHD, trauma, grief & loss and life transitions.
Michael mainly uses a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach but complements this with , Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Art Therapy or any style of counselling which would suit you and your needs.
Michael has a great passion and aptitude for quickly understanding the root cause of mental health concerns and finding the best way to help resolve mental health concerns.
