Educational & Developmental Psychologist

Jannie is a highly skilled and compassionate Educational and Developmental Psychologist who is fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Psychology Board of Australia.

Jannie is passionate about providing the best care for her clients. She has a strong focus on establishing a warm and safe therapeutic relationship which enables her clients to achieve sustained change. She uses a developmental perspective to understand and respond to the needs of children and young people, and works with a range of presentations including complex trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and behavioural, emotional and social issues. Her extensive experiences in working with children and young people who have experienced childhood trauma has given Jannie a unique set of skills and a special interest in building resilience and treating relational and attachment issues.

Jannie has a broad range of experience working with children, young people and their families. She has worked across private settings, non-government agencies, schools, and public health settings, and is familiar with multidisciplinary teams.

Jannie provides a trauma-informed and safe practice through her uses of a range of evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, mindfulness, art and play therapy, and solutions focussed brief therapy.  Jannie also has experience administering a comprehensive range of assessments related to development, learning and behaviour. Jannie consults from our Moorebank rooms.
