Aswathi (Ash) Neelakandan
Ash is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and is currently completing her clinical psychology registrar program. Ash completed a Master of Clinical Psychology degree at the University of Technology Sydney.
Ash centres her practice as a psychologist through warmth, compassion and a deep understanding that suffering is a normal part of the human life. Ash believes that positive psychological change is underpinned by a strong therapeutic relationship and collaborative process. Ash actively engages clients in a supportive space to reflect on their lives, their values and goals. She adopts an individualistic and skills-based approach to help clients build self-awareness, nurture new perspectives, and lead a meaningful life.
Ash has gained experience with wide range of clinical presentations in both public and private health sectors. Ash integrates and implements a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Ash consults from our Campbelltown practice.
